A Best Spanish boxlock furnished with three barrels numbered with gold inlay on the top rib of each barrel. Numbered 1 -2 & 3. Barrel number 1 weighs 3 pounds 4. 66 ounces and is 30 inches with 2 3/4 inch chambers. Both barrels measure .035 in the walls, .725 in both bores, the right barrel is choked .045 and .046 in the left. Barrel number 2 is 27 1/2 inches in length, weighing 2 pounds 14. 42 ounces, has 2 3/4 inch chambers and wall thickness of .034 in the right and .021 in the left. The bores measure .728 in both and the chokes are .028 in the right and .038 in the left. Barrel number 3 weighs 2 pounds 14. 42 ounces. is 26 inches with 2 3/4 inch chambers and has walls measuring 027 right and .031 left, the bores measure .725 in both with chokes of cylinder in the right and .025 in the left. The gun has a scalloped action and near full scroll engraving and retains full colour hardening and best blacking to all barrels and hardware. The gun has a hidden third fastener, and side clips. Well figured stock with side flats fitted with a 1 inch recoil pad. The gun weighs 7 pounds 2 ounces fitted with the 26 inch barrels. This gun appears to have been very little used or not used at all.
